Suicide or Murder

A food for thought.
Should a suicide forced on someone be termed an act of murder. Many people in India die or rather kill themselves, but certainly as the Law of the Almighty dictates no being shall ever wish to end thou life. But people do, sane human beings, supposedly the most intelligent species on earth.
I read an article the other day of the famous footballer, German goalkeeper, Robert Enke.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8354979.stm

Now a successful man like him could have all he could have wished in life, but could not sustain the pressure. Is this not murder, a cruel criminal deed to force someone to end his own life ?
As for the definition part Wiki defines suicide as -
Suicide (Latin suicidium, from sui caedere, to kill oneself) is the intentional killing of one's self.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide).
But this definition excludes the drive for the intention. If intention is serious irrecoverable medical ailment and a medical suicide the result, it is fairly acceptable.
But what about the case when someone torchers a person beyond extent and force him/her to intend to die.
Murder, as defined in common law countries, is the unlawful killing of another human being with intent (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder). Again the same question arises. Can murder not be done unknowingly. If a person pesters someone to the extent that the other person commits the sad act, I would still like to include it in the definition of murder, though it did not intend to be killing the other person.

The debate is on. May the soul of Robert Enke find peace.

Literacy – definition defined

about:blank

Just thinking back what the word literate has to signify – the ability to read and write as was taught in our pre-nursery classes or something. Just ponder over and try to analyse this definition.

Okay, I seem to eating off your head so lets start from scratch. READ and WRITE but what? Seems so trivial a question but beneath lies the precise point I am trying to make here. Read and write a language like English – few may answer. Think again !!!

Are you above trying to say I am illiterate in say, German. How dare you call me illiterate man, I am b****y 23 and almost half MBA !!! But yes the definition makes me illiterate.

What about the so called illiterate population, say the tribals. Can you read and write their language, forget read and write, can you even claim to understand all their gestures. Going again by the definition from their perspective even we people are illiterate and they and more knowledgeable than us – YES coz they can read and write their language.

Go more deep. There are so many signs, symbols, signals used in nature to each convey some meaning. Am I in a position to decipher even a percent of it. the answer is plain NO. How can I than claim myself to be literate and consider this as something good.

What am I still trying to say ?

Just that if we break the bounds of man made superiorities and go beneath nothing in this world can be considered inferior. It all depends on the perspective and the situation we are in. If I land up in some jungles of SA, I would be an illiterate their and I have to learn and understand their language, their customs, their behaviour.

Some may argue that their are people who know not even a single language whatsoever are they also not illiterate, I say YES. They are supposedly more genius then others that they do not need a tool like words to express themselves. Coz at the end of the day

NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE EXPRESSED IN WORDS.

The stigma of melodarmatic uncertainity
May no longer survive - fears sanity
Up the bubble rises, to receive the blow
The tide of life osces high and low

The concept of "crucial" seems so ironic
Wings of butterfly create an effect phenomic
In decisions of seconds you so deeply dive
Sometimes you forget, you have a whole life

Break the chain - for freedom beckons
Why do you bother of pros and cons
Forget the train, go drive your kart
For just once- can you not follow your heart

Spread the wings, challenge the winds
Up you rise and high you'll soar
No albatross carriers, no mighty barriers
Break free off stigma, and let the roar

The above piece of jumbled words is not just a permutation with constraints of rhyme and rhythm, nor is it only a meagre emotional expression. Its a thought quoted and an argument encrypted.
We are all so happy when the so called luck favors us. All so correct and surprisingly logical when things are in place. All good results seem to be as an harvest of your hardwork and toil. And when the tables turn, its luck. We seem to be thinking that we have been all correct and its the luck thats pushing us on backseat. We develop a feeling that all's so uncertain and start bothering of the immediate future. For small things we think so deeply. Spend millions of seconds for something which could have been decided almost promptly. We start laying emphasis on the miutest of details, and push ourselves deeper. Just not realising that its a multitplying effect. The more we think, the more we get involved( read confused) , the more importance we give to the matter at hand and the more we think and ....... and then we grow just to pass this self created tension through all sorts of weirdo treatments.

I think at times, that is the world really that complex or its just the maturity that we have gained. Can we leave behind all our confusions, roam like a free butterfly. Can we ever break this schedule bound life where each train has its fixed time and route. Can we make this life our kart ring and drive our own way. Can we follow our heart for once and make ourselves happy. Its time we realise ourselves, the purpose we are here, the ultimate we want to achieve. The basic and the ground level effect that is required from our tasks. Its then that we can feel that in the BIG game of life its important to play long but remain safe and sound mentally and physically. Worry but not over-worry and give our dreams some freedom to at least explore the possibilites. We need to get ourselves out of the chains of life that restrict us to enjoy the beautiful gift of life and lets flow freely in the stream of love and joy ....

PS: The author was attending a highly boring lecture and hence the article...
